Road & Rail Services is looking for a dependable Entry-Level Quality Inspector to join our vehicle operations team. In this position, you will inspect new vehicles for transportation-related damage, accurately document your findings, and enter inspection information into customer reporting systems. You don't need previous vehicle inspection experience to get started. We will provide training on inspection procedures, damage identification, documentation requirements, and the systems you'll use on the job. This is not an automotive mechanic or repair position . Instead, you'll focus on visual inspections, accurate reporting, and making sure vehicle damage information is properly documented. What You'll Do Your daily responsibilities will include: Perform detailed visual inspections of vehicles for transportation-related damage Identify and document scratches, dents, marks, and other applicable damage Review and verify damage that has already been reported Inspect vehicles located both on and off railcars Accurately record inspection results and supporting information Enter vehicle damage reports into manufacturer/OEM reporting websites Submit applicable documentation through the BNSF reporting system Communicate inspection findings and documentation concerns to appropriate personnel Help monitor or control designated areas while vehicles are awaiting repairs Follow established procedures when working around vehicles, railcars, and other equipment Maintain accurate and complete inspection records Follow all Road & Rail Services and customer safety requirements Wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) Assist with additional duties as assigned by management Accuracy matters in this position. The information you document helps support vehicle processing, damage claims, and other operational decisions. What We're Looking For You don't need previous inspection experience, but you should bring: A valid driver's license Basic computer skills, including familiarity with Microsoft Office Strong attention to detail Ability to accurately enter and maintain information Dependable attendance and punctuality Availability to consistently work Wednesday through Sunday from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Willingness to work outdoors throughout your shift Ability to safely access and perform work around railcars Experience in quality inspection, automotive operations, transportation, logistics, inventory, data entry, or vehicle processing is helpful but not required. Outdoor Work Environment This is an active, primarily outdoor position at a rail and vehicle-processing operation. You should be prepared to work outside in changing weather conditions, including heat, cold, rain, and wind. Employees will regularly work around vehicles and rail equipment and must remain alert to their surroundings while following all site safety and access procedures.
