- The Quality Technician I supports manufacturing operations by ensuring products and processes meet quality standards.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
(include but not limited to)- Perform Receiving Inspection, Out of Box Audits (OBAs), and Line Audits.
- Provide real-time quality support and respond to line calls.
- Conduct product and process inspections to verify compliance with quality standards.
- Support pilot runs and quality validation activities.
- Coordinate non-conforming product through disposition processes.
- Utilize testing equipment and maintain calibration activities.
- Collect and analyze quality data and assist with root cause analysis and corrective actions.
- Work collaboratively with Operations to resolve quality concerns and drive continuous improvement.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Previous experience in a quality role preferred.
- Understanding of root cause analysis and corrective action processes.
- Elkay/Zurn Elkay manufacturing knowledge preferred but not required.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
- Strong product knowledge and part identification skills are beneficial.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage stressful situations.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to balance quality requirements and operational needs.
- Problem-solving and analytical thinking skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
