Hand tools Coordinate measuring machine Data analysis software Full Job Description The Quality Engineer must know how to use programs such as Polyworks and Pc Dmis Software and Solid works. Ability to utilize and program a
FARO ARM CMM
is required. Working knowledge of statistics and data analysis are useful in this position, as this job requires the ability to analyze testing data and communicate the results in a manner that can be distributed to peers, upper management and the customer. Work is completed in an office setting with some plant measuring required. Hours may vary depending on the needs of the company. Overtime work is required when necessary.
Responsibilities:
Operate and program Faro Arm CMM with polyworks software. Ability to program CMM using PC-Dims software (especially offline is a plus). Ability to work with CAD model vs. requiring a physical part or 2D print is a must. Mount, install, align, and secure tools, attachments, fixtures, and work pieces on CMM machine using hand tools and precision measuring instruments. Measure dimensions of components and finished product to ensure conformance to specifications, using precision measuring instruments, templates, and fixtures. Must be able to read and write CMM reports. Must have experience with Microsoft Excel. Ability to develop work instructions for CMM set-up and operation for various programs. Must have proven experience in the use of calipers, height gauges, micrometers and various other hand tools. Must be accurate and precise in measurements, both as presented to the customer for sample layouts and to production for first piece and dimensional checks. Assist Quality Director in dimensional inspection of product for PPAP's and investigations. Assist the Quality department in collecting and analyzing data for measurement systems analysis, capability studies, design of experiments, gauge R&R, etc. Review acceptance criteria defined by customer documents to insure appropriate inspection methods and to identify and document any drawing / specification errors. Compile and submit First Article Inspection Reports (FAIR) to customers for approval. Assist Quality Director to define and deliver responses to customer requests and inquires related to product quality. •No Employment Agencies Please•
