Job Description

The Quality Assurance Specialist supports the Quality Assurance program by standardizing and maintaining processes and procedures to prevent quality issues. This role investigates customer complaints, determines root cause, and implements sustainable countermeasures across paint, process, container, and delivery concerns.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Participate in developing product and process specifications, and create and implement inspection and testing criteria and quality control procedures Coordinate the selection and implementation of quality control equipment, such as inspection gauges Review and update SOPs and quality assurance manuals, documenting key risks, controls, and process improvements Support scale-up studies and verification of new technology and equipment to prevent quality issues prior to first production batch Identify critical control points and specify sampling procedures, and conduct experiments to identify abnormal product or raw material quality and determine root cause Investigate customer complaints and quality concerns (paint, process, containers, delivery), determining root cause and implementing sustainable countermeasures Determine short-term countermeasures and containment activity to restore customer production and contain off-quality materials Create RCA/investigation reports, analyze complaint trends, and recommend corrective actions Monitor quality control system performance, track deviations from quality standards, and lead continuous improvement / PDCA projects Produce reports on nonconformance, root cause analysis, and quality trends Participate in customer and supplier meetings and travel as needed as a Quality representative
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree, preferably in a technical field, or a minimum of 4 years of equivalent experience Experience with ISO quality systems
