In this role, you will be responsible for developing, testing, and executing Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM) programs to ensure precision and adherence to strict aerospace quality standards. Responsibilities Develop and optimize CMM programs using PC-DMIS or Calypso software for complex aerospace parts, ensuring compliance with industry standards such as AS9100 and

ISO 13485.

Perform dimensional inspections of machined components utilizing CMMs, height gauges, bore gauges, micrometers, calipers, and other precision measuring instruments. Interpret mechanical blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings with a strong understanding of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) to accurately measure features and verify tolerances. Conduct thorough quality control inspections in accordance with

ISO 9001, ASME

codes & standards, and customer-specific quality standards in production environments. Collaborate with manufacturing engineers and machinists to troubleshoot measurement issues, improve tooling setups, and enhance measurement processes for CNC machining operations. Maintain detailed records of inspection results, calibration logs, and quality documentation to support audits such as AS9100 and

ISO 13485

compliance. Support continuous improvement initiatives by analyzing measurement data to identify trends or deviations that could impact product quality. Skills Proficiency in CMM programming using PC-DMIS or Calypso software within an aerospace context. Strong knowledge of aerospace quality standards including

AS9100, ISO 13485, ISO

9001, and ASME codes & standards. Experience with dimensional inspection techniques using height gauges, bore gauges, micrometers, calipers, dial indicators, and other precision measuring instruments. Ability to interpret mechanical blueprints, schematics, technical drawings, and GD&T specifications accurately. Familiarity with CAD software such as SolidWorks or CAD integration for measurement planning. Mechanical aptitude combined with a solid understanding of machining processes and tooling setups. Knowledge of quality assurance practices in aerospace manufacturing environments with a focus on precision measurement in machining. Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze measurement data for process improvements. Technical proficiency in programming CNC machines or related engineering tools is a plus.
