Quality Technician Reports to: Supervisor of designated departmentFLSA Status:
NON-EXEMPT
Schedule:
Monday through Thursday (6:00am - 4:30pm); extended hours may be required to support business needs Primary duties and responsibilities: Perform regular quality assessments on all incoming materials from vendors and outgoing products for shipping. Reject all products and materials that fail to meet quality expectations. Read prints, layouts, and specifications to understand the requirements of products and services. Measure or Faro product dimensions examine functionality and compare the final product to specifications. Calibrate Faro machines and all other tooling in all facilities and communicate any external processes/calibration dates with Quality manager. Calibrate all internal and external weld, drill, and recut fixtures prior to being used within production. Notify Quality Manager with any modifications needed on route sheets or any other documentation. Perform clean tests at the Clean Lab. Assist Production with any difficult parts or assemblies that need a Faro report generated. Teach the production team about quality control concerns to improve product excellence. Resolve quality-related issues in a timely manner. Education, prior work experience and specialized skills and knowledge : High School diploma or equivalent field. Certification in quality is preferred. Excellent interpersonal, and communication skills Commitment to safety Commitment and supportive ofISO 9001

Ability to provide feedback both orally and in writing Excellent attention to detail. Good math and technical skills. Strong understanding of quality control standards and testing techniques.Physical environment/work conditions:
The position is in the factory and could involve sitting, standing, walking and lifting for long periods of time throughout the day. Other (e.g., customer contact or access to confidential information): This position works in a production environment. The position will report directly to the Production supervisor and will have daily interaction with other team members.
