Job Overview This position supports IFT's Quality and Environmental Management Systems by performing inspections, documentation reviews, and audit-related activities to ensure product and process compliance. This role also contributes to continuous improvement efforts and provides guidance to Quality Technician I personnel. The position reports to the Quality Manager. Responsibilities Supports the IFT Quality and Environmental Management System and helps maintain compliance with
ISO 9001
2015, AS9100, IATF 16949, ISO 14001, and Nadcap requirements through assigned audit and documentation tasks. Assists with customer, internal, and third-party audits, including participation and corrective action follow-up. Supports QMS/EMS improvement activities to reduce variation and improve production and support processes. Performs dimensional inspections, documentation checks, and specification reviews to confirm product conformity. Conducts independent visual and dimensional inspections to verify compliance with all applicable requirements. Reviews documentation packages, such as certifications and job travelers, for completeness and accuracy. Supports nonconformance investigations and assists with data collection for corrective actions. Assists with in-process inspections and verification of production operations as needed. Responsible for maintaining a clean, organized work area, and the quality department area generally, in accordance with company programs, policies, and procedures. Performs other duties as assigned Qualifications Experience in quality inspection, blueprint interpretation, and use of precision measuring tools. Working knowledge of dimensional inspection methods and documentation review. Ability to perform nonconformance reporting and support corrective action investigations. Strong understanding of traceability requirements and quality documentation. Effective communication and ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams. Capability to mentor and support Quality Technician I personnel. Technical education or equivalent manufacturing experience preferred. Physical Requirements Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times. Visual acuity to read instructions, operate machinery or equipment, and inspect parts Individuals who inspect material for final acceptance must have: Color Vision Eye Examination annually per IFT vision requirements Near-Vision Eye Examination annually per IFT vision requirements The Individual(s) must meet the minimum standards in one eye with or without glasses/contacts Travel Local and overnight travel may be required occasionally Benefits Medical, Dental, and Vision Insurance HDHP Plans with Company contribution to H.S.A.
