1st (Must be open to 2nd shift during Peak Seasons) Job Description Join our Quality Testing Lab team where you'll evaluate and test plant samples, primarily focusing on seeds like corn, wheat, soy, and sorghum. This entry-level position does not require prior experience, as comprehensive training will be provided. Responsibilities Count and plant seeds using a counter template, then place them on a wet paper towel and roll them up. Collaborate with another team member to organize seed 'dolls' in racks for growth in dryers or freezers. Rotate between planting and evaluating duties, examining seeds post-growth. Train to identify normal versus abnormal seeds, recording findings on a computer tablet. Maintain high attention to detail while working with six different seed types. Participate in a 7-day seed testing cycle, evaluating and logging seedlings. Essential Skills Quality control and assurance experience. Production and inspection skills. High school diploma or GED. Ability to perform repetitive tasks with precision. Additional Skills & Qualifications 1+ year tenure of work experience. 6 months to 1 year of experience in retail, fast food, warehouse, or manufacturing preferred. Basic computer skills. Ability to lift up to 30 lbs. No prior experience necessary, training provided. Why Work Here? Work Environment Work in a clean, quiet lab setting with a first shift schedule from 7am to 3:30pm, Monday through Friday. Opportunities for overtime and weekend work may arise. Join a team of 30-50 colleagues, collaborating in groups or pairs. Ergonomic workstations with adjustable tables and chairs are provided, and lab coats are required attire. Closed-toed shoes are mandatory, ensuring safety and comfort throughout your shift. Starting pay $19- Once trained through evaluation area - 2-3 wks will raise to $20.50hr
- Maintain performance metrics for 3 weeks then will have another opportunity for a raise to $21.
