Job Description

  • Job Title: Quality Inspector
  • Job Description
  • The Quality Inspector ensures that products consistently meet customer, regulatory, and internal quality standards throughout the manufacturing process.

This role combines hands-on inspection activities with quality engineering responsibilities, including process auditing, root cause analysis, corrective actions, quality system maintenance, and continuous improvement initiatives. The position collaborates closely with production, engineering, suppliers, and leadership teams to maintain product conformity and support high levels of customer satisfaction.

  • Responsibilities
  • + Perform detailed quality inspections on manufactured products to verify compliance with customer requirements, engineering drawings, specifications, and applicable regulatory standards.

+ Use precision measurement tools such as calipers, micrometers, and metrology equipment to confirm product dimensions and tolerances.

+ Apply GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) principles when interpreting engineering drawings and evaluating product conformity.

+ Conduct process audits to assess adherence to established procedures within the Quality Management System (QMS).

+ Support and participate in root cause analysis activities to identify sources of nonconformance and quality issues.

+ Assist in developing, implementing, and tracking corrective actions to prevent recurrence of quality problems.

+ Contribute to the maintenance and continuous improvement of the quality system, including documentation and record-keeping activities.

+ Collaborate with production and engineering teams to resolve quality concerns and improve manufacturing processes.

+ Interact with suppliers as needed to address quality-related topics and ensure incoming materials meet specified requirements.

+ Perform administrative duties related to quality documentation, inspection records, and reporting.

+ Work both independently and as part of a team to meet quality objectives and production schedules while maintaining high attention to detail.

  • Essential Skills
  • + Quality inspection experience, including at least 1 year of quality-related work.

+ Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, specifications, and technical documentation.

+ Strong attention to detail with the ability to identify nonconformances and potential quality issues.

+ Effective problem-solving skills to support root cause analysis and corrective actions.

+ Ability to work independently and collaboratively within cross-functional teams.

+ Experience working within a formal Quality Management System (QMS).

+ Extensive knowledge of AS9100 and

ISO 9001

quality standards.

+ Proficiency using precision measurement tools such as calipers and micrometers.

+ Experience with metrology practices to verify and document product dimensions.

+ Familiarity with GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) in a manufacturing environment.

+ Ability to perform administrative duties related to quality documentation and record keeping for at least 1 year.

  • Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • + Experience in an aerospace manufacturing or aerospace-related environment. + Hands-on experience using a FARO arm or similar portable coordinate measuring machine. + Comfort working in a smaller company environment with close collaboration across departments.

  • This is a first-shift position, working Monday through Friday from 7:00 a.

m. to 3:30 p.m. The facility is climate controlled, providing a comfortable and consistent working environment throughout the year. The organization is relatively small, with approximately 27 employees, fostering close collaboration and direct communication across teams. Work is performed in a manufacturing setting that utilizes precision measurement tools and quality system documentation, with an emphasis on maintaining orderly, professional working conditions.

  • Pay and Benefits
  • The pay range for this position is $35.

00 - $40.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
