Job Description

Job Summary Meuth Concrete is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Quality Control (QC) Technician to ensure concrete materials and finished products meet project specifications and quality standards. This role involves both field and laboratory testing to support concrete production, placement, and curing for various construction projects.
  • Key Responsibilities
  • Perform field and lab testing on fresh and hardened concrete (slump, air content, temperature, unit weight, compressive strength, etc.)
  • Prepare, cure, and test concrete samples; accurately record and interpret results
  • Inspect materials and job site practices to ensure compliance with specifications and standards
  • Monitor mix designs and verify batch ticket accuracy
  • Observe placement, finishing, and curing processes; report and address quality issues
  • Maintain daily reports, logs, and documentation
  • Calibrate and maintain testing equipment
  • Work with project managers, contractors, and team members to resolve issues
  • Follow all company and job site safety procedures
  • Preferred Qualifications
  • ACI Concrete Field Testing Technician certification (or willingness to obtain)
  • Familiarity with ASTM standards
  • Construction or materials testing experience
  • Ky level 1 certification
  • Ky aggregate technician training
  • Skills & Abilities
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Good communication and teamwork skills
  • Basic math and computer skills
  • Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs
  • Working Conditions
  • Work performed on construction sites and in lab settings
  • Exposure to weather, dust, and heavy equipment
  • Overtime and occasional weekends may be required
