You will rely on personal experience and judgment to conduct inspections across metal fabrication operations including laser cutting, metal forming, and welding. As a Metal Fabrication Quality Inspector, you will perform First Article Inspections, verify dimensional compliance against mechanical blueprints, and ensure post-weld and surface finish quality with minimal supervision. We work with many of the major tech companies as well as brands such as Tesla, Rivian, Lucid, Meta, Google, and Harley Davidson Responsibilities
  • Inspect, test, and approve incoming material for compliance with written methods and specifications (attention to detail is critical) as required.
  • Verify surface preparation, paint/powder coat thickness, color matching, and finish adhesion prior to assembly transfer.
  • Identify, tag, and isolate defective fabricated parts immediately to prevent non-conforming metal structures from moving downstream.
  • Communicate defects to production managers and suppliers as required.
  • Recommend any necessary adjustments and changes to production processes.
  • Set a positive quality tone throughout all metal fabrication areas, driving a proactive quality culture.
  • Collaborate directly with production teams and operators to maintain high standards and prevent quality issues before they occur. Skills You Have
  • Knowledge of
ISO 9001
quality management system standards and requirements.
  • Understanding of lean manufacturing principles, 5S practices, and continuous improvement.
  • High School diploma equivalent is required, 1-2 years of inspection experience.
  • 1-2 years working experience with electro/mechanical systems preferred.
  • 1-2 years working experience with metal fabrication preferred.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Personal computer literate (Google Doc's preferred).
  • Ability to work from assembly drawings and schematics.
  • Ability to recognize nonconformances and functionality problems.
  • Ability to pay close attention to details.
  • Ability to communicate effectively between departments and business teams.
  • Strong organization skills.
  • Proficiency in inspecting laser cutting, metal forming, and welding processes.
  • Ability to interpret mechanical blueprints and technical drawings for metal fabrication.
  • Experience utilizing precision measurement tools such as calipers, micrometers, and height gauges.
  • Familiarity with surface finish inspection techniques for powder coat and paint. What do we offer

Pay:
