Quality Technician Summary:
The Quality Technician is responsible for supporting Management with the implementation, maintenance and continual improvement of internal processes and guidelines necessary to meet quality standards defined by relevant laws and regulations. This individual will assist management and personnel to plan, develop, and implement new strategies for overall improvements in information flow. The Quality Technician will also play a critical role in preparing and maintaining SQF certification for the facility.Responsibilities:
Responsible for compliance with all local, provincial, and federal laws including fiduciary duties, mechanical, structural, and environmental regulations as well as compliance to all Hart Industries safety standards, confidential information, and trade secrets. Product inspections/testing, validate machine capabilities (CpK), and establish Acceptable Quality Levels as it relates to the production process. Coordinates materials and process troubleshooting activities within the plant including process conditions, material composition, ink & coatings chemistry, rheology, and resin formulations. Responsible for developing and maintaining essential quality control testing methods, material performance inspection criteria, calibration methods, and simulated experiments for packaging performance. Supervise and Manage the water treatment process Oversea and execute the environmental monitoring program through swab results, trending, and defined response actions. Managing Environmental Health and Safety Data for Pigments, Extenders/Vehicles, and coatings. Support operations with the capability of color creation, batch blending, and quality control. Participate in component reviews for customer packaging requirements (Prohibited substances, substance limitations, chemical migration criteria, etc....) Support project planning and execution for the installation of new equipment and equipment modifications. Make recommendations for laboratory and quality control inspection equipment. Responsible for maintaining calibration of inspection and process monitoring equipment through outside vendors and internal procedures. Provide input on improvements to calibration program and calibration methods. Review and Validate Certificates of Analysis for Inbound Raw Materials and Outbound Finished Goods. Work with line operators on improving and maintaining effective process conditions, operating procedures, and Quality control/inspection methods. Executes and ensures adherence to Company personnel policies and proceduresQualifications:
Four-year degree from an accredited college or university in Quality Engineering, Food Safety and Technology, Science, or related field; PMP or Six Sigma Certification desired Experience with quality inspection, auditing and testing experience preferred Experience with OSHA mandates and safety regulations/manufacturing and production environment preferred Experience and working knowledge with ERP or similar software preferred Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture and distribution of goods. Must possess thoroughness and attention to detail in dealing with complexities. Must have solid technical writing skills Must possess excellent complex problem solving, troubleshooting and decision-making abilities with the ability to implement solutions using Proactively identifies and removes project obstacles or barriers on behalf of thSimilar remote jobs
