Day shift About B2B Mobile B2B Mobile is a leading supplier of new and pre-owned mobile devices. We receive, process, test, data-wipe, grade, and prepare thousands of devices for resale to wholesalers, retailers, and business customers around the world. Our team is committed to accuracy, efficiency, data security, and responsible device handling. We provide hands-on training, so previous cell phone testing or repair experience is helpful but not required. Position Summary The Cell Phone Tester is responsible for inspecting, testing, and accurately documenting the condition and functionality of smartphones and other electronic devices. This is a hands-on, production-based position that requires close attention to detail, the ability to follow established procedures, and consistent productivity. Employees work both independently and as part of a team to ensure devices are processed accurately and efficiently. Responsibilities Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Inspecting smartphones and other electronic devices for cosmetic condition and physical damage. Testing device functions, including the screen, buttons, cameras, speakers, microphones, charging ports, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and other features. Identifying and accurately documenting hardware and software issues. Verifying device information, including the model, storage capacity, carrier, IMEI, and activation status. Performing approved data-erasure and device-processing procedures. Assisting with device unlocking, software processing, or flashing when trained and assigned. Assigning accurate cosmetic and functional grades according to company standards. Entering testing results and device information into the company's inventory system. Completing quality-control checks and reporting discrepancies. Sorting, labeling, organizing, and moving devices or inventory as needed. Keeping the workstation and surrounding work area clean and organized. Following all company procedures related to device handling, data security, safety, and inventory control. Assisting with other production or warehouse-related duties when needed. Qualifications No previous cell phone testing experience is required; training will be provided. Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow step-by-step instructions. Dependable, punctual, and able to maintain consistent attendance. Comfortable using computers and learning digital testing and inventory systems. Able to communicate effectively in English. Able to work independently and as part of a team. Able to perform repetitive tasks while maintaining accuracy and productivity. Willing to learn and accept feedback. Reliable transportation to our Owings Mills facility is required. Experience with smartphones, electronics, computers, Excel, inventory systems, production, or warehouse work is helpful but not required.
