Job Description

Fabrication Quality Control Inspector needed! shift 6:00 am-2:30 pm The best candidate would have hands-on experience in welding or metal fabrication combined with strong inspection and measurement skills. Weld inspectors, experienced welders or fabricators, fabrication quality technicians, machining inspectors, sheet-metal inspectors, or individuals who have worked in structural steel, automotive fabrication, commercial vehicle manufacturing, or precision metal manufacturing. Welding knowledge a plus. A understanding of what a sound weld looks like and be familiar with MIG welding; TIG experience is also valuable. Ideal candidate should be able to recognize issues such as poor penetration, porosity, undercut, incomplete welds, excessive spatter, distortion, and inconsistent weld appearance. Ability to accept and reject fabricated components is preferred. The ideal candidate should also understand sheet-metal fabrication processes such as laser cutting, press brake forming, machining, welding, and powder coating. Be able to read engineering drawings, verify dimensions and tolerances, and use tools such as calipers, micrometers, squares, height gauges, thread gauges, and angle-measurement tools. Skilled welder or fabricators are encouraged to apply!
