Department:
Quality Position Summary We are seeking an experienced CMM Programmer / Quality Technician to join our Quality team in Belleville, MI. This position is responsible for programming and operating CMM equipment, performing dimensional inspections, certifying gauges and fixtures, and supporting quality initiatives in an automotive manufacturing environment. Responsibilities Program and operate CMM equipment using PC-DMIS. Read and interpret blueprints and GD&T requirements (ANSI Y14.5). Perform part layouts, fixture certifications, and gauge calibrations. Conduct capability studies and Gauge R&R studies. Compare inspection results to specifications and report discrepancies. Assist with PPAP submissions and maintain records in MQ1. Use precision measuring equipment, including micrometers, calipers, and height gauges. Follow all safety, quality, and company procedures. Support continuous improvement efforts and maintain a clean work area. Qualifications Associate degree or equivalent technical training preferred. Minimum 1 year of CMM programming/operating experience using PC-DMIS. Strong knowledge of GD&T, blueprint reading, SPC, and Gauge R&R. Experience with MQ1, QAD, and Microsoft Office preferred. Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.
