Schedule:
Monday-Friday, 8AM-4:30PM You will be instrumental in ensuring that products meet rigorous quality standards and comply with regulatory requirements. You will work closely with engineering, quality, production, and maintenance to inspect components, support prototype and fixture builds, and help improve product and process performance. This hands-on position will support all incoming quality and engineering projects! Duties Inspect incoming components, assemblies, and materials against engineering drawings, specifications, and quality requirements. Use measurement tools such as calipers, micrometers, gauges, torque tools, and other inspection equipment to verify part quality. Document inspection results, test data, non-conformances, and engineering observations clearly and accurately. Assist engineers with prototype builds, mechanical assemblies, fixture setups, tooling modifications, and product improvement activities. Support engineering design work by reviewing parts, identifying fit or assembly issues, providing feedback, and helping with test design changes. Support troubleshooting of product, process, assembly, and test issues by collecting data, inspecting parts, and assisting with root-cause investigations. Assist with manufacturing process improvement activities, including work instructions, process documentation, layout changes, fixture implementation, and workflow improvements. Create and maintain inspection checklists, test records, build logs, work instructions, and other quality or engineering documentation. Work with production and quality teams to support containment, sorting, rework, corrective actions, and supplier-related quality issues. Perform routine preventive maintenance and basic upkeep on production equipment, fixtures, tooling, and test equipment in accordance with defined maintenance schedules and work instructions. Assist with troubleshooting equipment, fixture, and tooling issues; perform minor mechanical repairs or adjustments within capability and escalate complex issues as needed. Maintain preventive-maintenance checklists, maintenance logs, equipment condition records, and basic spare-parts or consumables information. Maintain organization and good working condition of tools, test equipment, inspection equipment, fixtures, prototypes, maintenance supplies, and engineering lab areas. Qualified candidates will have 1-3 years of experience in quality and/or engineering with an Associate's degree in a related field (Bachelor degree a plus!) . Must have the ability to read and understand engineering drawings, work instructions, and inspection requirements and be familiar with CAD drawings and 3D models (use of software such as Autodesk Inventor or SolidWorks).
