Job Description
Quality Inspector - Sheet Metal Manufacturing Position Summary We are seeking an experienced Quality Inspector to support our sheet metal manufacturing operations. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in sheet metal manufacturing and a strong understanding of processes across laser, press, welding, fabrication, and assembly . This role plays a critical part in ensuring product quality, process compliance, and continuous improvement throughout the shop. Key Responsibilities Perform in-process and final inspections of sheet metal components and assemblies Inspect parts produced from laser cutting, press brake forming, welding, fabrication, and assembly operations Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and specifications Conduct dimensional inspections using calipers, micrometers, height gauges, and other precision measuring tools Document inspection results and maintain quality records Identify nonconforming material and support corrective actions Work closely with production, engineering, and management to resolve quality issues Support continuous improvement and quality system initiatives
Qualifications Required:
Experience as a Quality Inspector in a sheet metal manufacturing environment Strong understanding of sheet metal processes including laser, press, welding, fabrication, and assembly Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications Experience using standard inspection and measurement toolsPreferred:
