Role Overview :
As a Coor- Surgical Information, you will be responsible for all aspects of data collection, input, maintenance, and evaluation of patient information within the Surgical Services Department. Your role is critical in ensuring accurate and efficient information management, supporting both clinical and administrative teams to deliver exceptional patient care.

What You Will Do :
Collect, input, and maintain patient data during their visit in the Surgical Services Department. Evaluate the integrity of data and identify solutions to ensure accuracy and reliability. Coordinate information across various departments, including HFHS Information Systems and Nursing. Master new computer systems as required to support departmental needs. Analyze data to support decision-making and process improvements. Interact with a wide variety of individuals to ensure seamless information flow.
What You Will Need :
Required Qualifications :
High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent. Knowledge of basic information systems such as Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, and keyboarding skills. Approximately two years of experience in Medical Imaging, Radiology, or Surgical Services. Analytical skills to evaluate data integrity and identify solutions. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred Qualifications :
Completion of computer classes, Business, or Secretarial school. Equivalent work experience in lieu of formal education.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent. Knowledge of basic information systems such as Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, and keyboarding skills usually acquired though completion of computer classes, Business or Secretarial school. Equivalent work experience may be accepted in lieu of formal education. Approximately two years of experience in the Medical Imaging, Radiology, or Surgical Services Department in order to gain an understanding of the needs of the various departments and develop the skills necessary to coordinate information. Ability to learn and master new computer systems, as required. Analytical skills necessary to analyze and evaluate integrity of data and identify solutions to problems. Communication and interpersonal skills necessary to interact with a wide variety of individuals. Ability to coordinate information and interact with various departments such as HFHS Information Systems and Nursing.
