Quality Engineer Hill Machine Works Fraser, MI Job Details Part-time $30 - $36 an hour 1 day ago Qualifications Computer operation Computer literacy Manufacturing facility experience Attention to detail Organizational skills Quality audits Full Job Description We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Part-Time Quality Technician to support our quality systems and manufacturing operations. This position will assist with quality control, quality assurance, process control, internal audits, equipment calibration, and product testing to help ensure compliance with company, customer, and ISO requirements. The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, comfortable working in a manufacturing environment, and familiar with quality standards and documentation. Schedule Part-time position, approximately 20-25 hours per week Flexible scheduling based on business needs and candidate availability Schedule will generally be established in advance and coordinated with the Quality/Management team Essential Functions Maintain and support quality control, quality assurance, and process control systems to meet internal and customer requirements. Assist with the development and documentation of rework instructions. Conduct internal quality audits and document findings as required. Support compliance with
ISO 9001
standards and applicable customer-specific requirements. Maintain the calibration schedule and ensure measuring and testing equipment is properly calibrated and documented. Conduct frequency and torque testing and accurately document test results. Maintain accurate quality records and documentation. Communicate quality concerns and findings to appropriate team members. Creation of PPAP and supporting documents Assist with other quality-related activities as needed. Qualifications & Competencies Familiarity with ISO 9001 and automotive quality requirements, including IATF/TS standards. Previous quality or manufacturing experience. Blueprint reading knowledge is a plus. Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Excellent communication and organizational skills. Ability to maintain accurate records and documentation. Basic computer skills, including the ability to enter, maintain, and retrieve quality-related information. Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
