Job Description
- GENERAL
PURPOSE OF JOB
- Ensure conformance of products and processes to meet established standards. Drives quality culture throughout the organization in accordance with the Quality Operating System.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES, TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Safety & Compliance:
- Identify and report safety hazards in accordance with OSHA regulations Understand and comply with
MSDS/SDS
requirements for hazardous materials Recognize and report sharp parts, burrs, and broken components that pose safety risks Apply proper lifting techniques and ergonomics principles- Part Inspection -
Visual & Cosmetic:
- Identify and distinguish common defects including flash, short shot, splay, burns, sink, and warping Evaluate parts using proper lighting conditions or light booths to ensure consistent inspection Apply visual quality criteria related to color, texture, gloss, and gate appearance Inspect samples per Acceptable Quality Limits (AQL) or visual standards established by customer requirements
Dimensional Inspection:
- Use calipers, micrometers, and height gauges accurately to verify part dimensions Operate pin gauges, thread gauges, and depth gauges for precision measurement Perform measurements against engineering prints and control plans Understand part tolerance ranges and escalation limits
Documentation & Recordkeeping:
- Complete First Article Inspection (FAI) documentation correctly Log in-process inspections at required intervals throughout production runs Accurately complete Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) and deviation forms Maintain traceability through lot, mold, and machine records
Customer-Specific Requirements:
- Understand and apply visual or dimensional standards specific to each customer Follow packaging and labeling instructions per job requirements Verify special tests (pull, torque, impact, etc.) when required by customer specifications
Communication & Teamwork:
- Communicate quality issues clearly to operators and supervisors Escalate nonconformance according to Revere protocol Collaborate with production team to address quality concerns proactively
EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
