Quality Inspector H.D.

Lowell, MI Job Type:
Full-Time 2nd shift positon Join the Team at H.D. Hudson H.D. Hudson Manufacturing Company is seeking a detail-oriented Quality Inspector to support our manufacturing operations in Lowell, Michigan. The Quality Inspector plays an important role in ensuring our products meet established quality standards. This position performs product and process inspections, verifies operator quality checks, documents inspection results, and works closely with Production and Quality team members to identify and communicate quality concerns. This is a great opportunity for someone who is dependable, detail-focused, and interested in building experience in manufacturing quality. Responsibilities Perform required product inspections according to established quality inspection plans. Complete first-piece inspections and approvals. Perform layered process audits as assigned. Verify operator quality inspection checks are being completed accurately. Identify and communicate product quality concerns or nonconformances. Support the nonconforming material process, including tagging, segregation, and tracking. Complete shift reports and communicate quality concerns between shifts. Perform product or material testing as required. Maintain accurate inspection records and quality documentation. Assist with training Production Operators on quality requirements and inspection procedures. Follow established quality procedures, work instructions, and company safety requirements. Perform other quality-related duties as assigned. Qualifications High School Diploma or GED equivalent. Previous manufacturing or Quality Control experience preferred. Six months to one year of related experience is preferred. Ability to follow detailed instructions and established inspection procedures. Ability to read and interpret work instructions, reports, and other quality documentation. Basic math skills, including the ability to work with rates, ratios, and percentages. Strong attention to detail and consistency. Ability to communicate and work effectively with others. Basic computer skills. Physical Requirements Frequent standing and walking throughout the workday. Regular use of hands and arms to inspect and handle products. Occasional bending, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, or climbing. Ability to lift and carry up to 30 pounds as needed. Ability to perform close visual inspections and identify product defects or nonconformances. Work Environment This position works primarily in a manufacturing environment and may be exposed to production equipment, moderate noise, airborne particles, fumes, and other manufacturing conditions. Required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) must be worn in designated areas. Schedule Requirements Regular and reliable attendance is required. Overtime and weekend work may be required based on production needs. Pay:
