Job Description

Required Education
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent Preferred Education
  • Associate degree or bachelor's degree in a science or technical fieldRequired Qualifications/Skills/Experience
  • 2-3 years of laboratory experience
  • Computer proficiency with Microsoft Office products, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously in a demanding environment
  • Strong math skills
  • Experience with basic tool manipulation, including mixing equipment, laboratory glassware, calipers, and other standard laboratory tools
  • Ability to stand while working in the laboratory for most of the day
  • Ability to lift parts in and out of chambers weighing up to 20-30 poundsLab Technician Overview
  • The Technician performs laboratory testing activities under the supervision of a Senior Technician, with a high level of initiative and independence
  • The role is responsible for operating and maintaining laboratory testing equipment associated with established test requirements and performing light maintenance as needed
  • The Technician enters samples for testing, performs evaluation techniques and ratings according to established test methods, and uses computer systems for data entry and report generation
  • The position requires accurate collection and recording of data in accordance with quality standards, including standard checks and verifications
  • The Technician is also responsible for maintaining a clean and safe laboratory work environment while effectively managing multiple tasks and priorities in a demanding settingJob Duties
  • Operate and maintain all laboratory testing equipment associated with each test requirement within prescribed test parameters
  • Perform light maintenance on laboratory testing equipment
  • Enter samples to be tested
  • Perform evaluation techniques and ratings according to established test methods
  • Use a computer for data entry and report generation
  • Collect and record data accurately according to quality standards
  • Perform standard checks and verifications
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment
