A night on the job (3rd shift: 10:30 PM - 6:30 AM, overtime as needed) Your shift begins with startup checks. You'll verify and document all "start-up" procedures per our Work Instructions on: Printing presses, die-cutters, and gluers at our Graphic Drive facility Printing presses and bindery equipment at our Montana Trail facility From there, you'll move through the production floor, ensuring every run meets contract specifications: Test inbound raw materials before they enter production, and conduct testing on finished product to confirm conformance. Make routine checks of retains for each job across departments; at job close, verify proofs, sign-off sheets, and retains. Inspect finished cut sizes for cards, wraps, and books, and stay alert for any mixed product. Examine yellow-marked material loads prior to die-cutting; confirm die-cutters properly separate them and keep them isolated from acceptable product. Compare color against customer samples and approve color accuracy. Confirm gluers are equipped and functioning with barcode readers and glue detectors. Review sample pulls and respond appropriately to findings. Initiate sorting documentation when required. Track and reconcile all scrap, maintaining accurate records. Audit people and processes company-wide to verify adherence to procedures. Verify line clearance between jobs and confirm skid tags match skid information prior to shipment. Perform MIL-standards checks on finished goods. Complete shortage forms for any jobs that run under count. Issue CAPARs (Corrective and Preventive Action Reports) as needed.
