Work with Engineering and Set-up department to verify that parts meet customer specifications on new program launches. Perform CMM or technical layout inspection on all parts as required. Maintain Q Number Log for all complete part inspections. Ensure first piece approval (FPA) parts are completed in a timely manner. Organize the Lab and insist Lab housekeeping is maintained. File all Quality documents in assigned area. Files need to be organized and labeled. Perform LPAs and assist with final audits, gage R&R studies, and gage calibration. Setup gauging as required. Participate in quality problem solving, corrective actions, and provide support to other departments. Communicate internal quality information between shifts. Communicate line-up from QA supervisor to nightshift personnel. Oversee completion of all assigned afternoon shift tasks. Report shift activities to QA supervisor. Follow Housekeeping, Safety (lockout/tagout), and Environmental requirements (recycling, labeling, spills, and programs). Continuous improvement ideas in safety, productivity, quality, and housekeeping. Comply and participate in housekeeping, safety, and environmental policies. Other duties as defined by your Supervisor.
