Job Description

Overview Job Summary:
The quality technician's foremost role is to ensure parts are made correctly and act accordingly when they are not. Responsible for developing inspection sheets while also maintaining and calibrating gages. Identifying when processes are not being followed and taking the appropriate actions to correct the situation. Independent worker with limited direction from supervision.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Layered process audits Follow up with CAR's for non-conformances found during daily reviews by inspector Contribute to quality procedures and internal auditing Daily inspection of manufactured parts Dimensional requirements Review of required paperwork/data from manufacturing department Determining non-conformance, acceptability on any part in question Train operators on inspection instructions Communicate with customers and suppliers concerns as needed Document non-conformances Maintain non-conforming area and log with disposition completed as necessary Gage Instruction creation and upkeep Create and maintain gage calibration certifications Control Plan creation (Inspection Sheet) Assist with engineering and customer driven projects Assist with new product development on production floor Part layouts, capability studies, gage repeatability and reproducibility studies, etc. Process Improvements - evaluate current processes (production, quality, administrative) and suggest alternative methods when possible.
Required Skill and Abilities:
Strong computer abilities Understanding of
ISO 9001
2015 Effective communicator with all levels of the organization Self-directed Must have technical, analytical and judgment abilities Ability to read blueprints Excellent follow-up skills Desire to grow and learn new skills
Education and Experience:

Pay:
$18.00 - $22.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
