The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing, testing, and optimizing programming solutions for CNC machines, quality control systems, and other manufacturing equipment. The Programmer will play a key role in ensuring high-quality production processes through effective programming and quality assurance practices. The CMM Programmer/Operator will provide primary support for the development of Dimensional Reporting programs and/or templates. This candidate will apply knowledge in the latest version of dimensional reporting software. The CMM programmer/operator will take an active role in the completion of the scheduled measurement cycle through operation of CMM equipment.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Develop operating programs to provide accurate dimensional reporting Perform review and evaluation of CMM holding fixtures, component part, and assembly inspection fixtures; Complete detailed inspection plans documenting inspection results Perform and/or assist with calibration of inspection fixtures, gauges, holding fixtures, tools, etc. per established schedules; Must be experienced in reading blueprints and have a full understanding of GD&T Maintain a clean and safe work environment; Cooperate with internal and external certification audits and customer audits The position is 1st shift, working 40-55 hours per week or a flexible split/swing shift Adhere to Team Handbook, Quality, Safety, and Environmental standards, policies, and procedures; Assure all safety devices are properly in place and utilized, Lockout/Tagout procedures are adhered to, PPE is worn correctly at all times, and reporting of any near-misses, injuries, or accidents occurs immediately; Perform additional tasks as deemed necessary and appropriate.
Experience and Education:
  • CMM Inspection and Programming experience with Ziess or PC- DMIS2020R or NEWER or
GOM & ATOS
  • Must be experienced in reading blueprints and have a full understanding of GD&T
  • Experience with inspecting formed sheet metal products
  • Perform 1st Piece Laser Machining and Form Buy-offs
  • Ability to complete detailed inspection plans documenting inspection results
  • Must be able to works efficiently in a fast-paced environment
  • Must have good organizational and documentation skills
