8 AM -5 PM We are looking for a Materials/Coatings Test Technician. Under the supervision of a Senior Technician or Chemist, the Technician will be expected to perform the following functions with a high level of initiative and independence: Perform mechanical/electrical/thermal properties testing of thermal interface materials and coatings; evaluate, collect, and record data. Participate in organizing and performing experiments using established procedures while summarizing and reporting results in a laboratory notebook/ppt. Use a computer to enter data /information, including charts and tables, for communication of project results/details. Run and upkeeps laboratory equipment, leads/supports ongoing standardization, harmonization, and administration of laboratory test methods - Ensures laboratory and application equipment are calibrated and safety checked in compliance with local regulations. Conducts standard lab testing to support new product introductions and customer sample testing Compiles data into Excel spreadsheets to share with Application Engineers and other internal colleagues Basic experience in the lab /workshop setting Understanding of safety Willing to learn and trainable Attention to detail Comfortable with Excel sheets A degree in materials science, mechanical/civil/structural/material/chemical engineering would be a plus.
Qualifications:
Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a technical field 1-3 years of demonstrated laboratory experience Computer literate in Microsoft Office products - Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Ability to understand and follow experimental protocols for preservation of data. Comfortable and able to work with toxic chemicals while following safe laboratory practices/protocols. The ability to stand while working in the laboratory throughout most of the day.
Pay:
$27.00 - $30.00 per hour
