Kansas City, MO 64102 | Work arrangement: On-site, primarily field/job-site based MOHR Talent is recruiting an experienced electrical construction professional to support quality assurance and quality control activities on mission-critical construction projects, including data centers and other high-performance facilities. This position is responsible for maintaining electrical installation quality throughout construction. The Electrical QA/QC Technician will identify deficiencies early, coordinate corrective actions and verify that electrical systems meet project requirements before testing, energization and turnover. Responsibilities Perform routine field inspections of electrical installations. Verify completed work against electrical drawings, specifications, shop drawings and approved submittals. Confirm compliance with the National Electrical Code, commonly called the NEC. Verify compliance with client requirements and mission-critical construction standards. Inspect conduit, cable tray, feeders, terminations, grounding and bonding, panels, transformers, switchgear and motor control centers. Identify installation deficiencies and document findings clearly. Coordinate corrective actions with foremen, electricians and other field personnel. Verify that identified deficiencies have been corrected properly. Confirm installation quality before systems are tested, energized and turned over. Assist with or review continuity testing and other electrical verification procedures. Review electrical testing results and confirm that they meet project requirements. Maintain inspection reports, quality checklists, deficiency logs, corrective-action records and project progress documentation. Support inspection scheduling and quality-control planning. Coordinate with project managers, engineers, general contractors, commissioning personnel and other trades. Required Qualifications 3+ years of electrical construction experience. Strong understanding of electrical installation practices. Working knowledge of National Electrical Code requirements. Ability to read and interpret electrical plans and construction drawings. Ability to read one-line diagrams, wiring diagrams, control diagrams and schematics. Ability to review project specifications, shop drawings and submittals. Ability to review electrical testing procedures and interpret test results. Strong attention to detail and documentation accuracy. Effective organization, communication and teamwork skills. Ability to work regularly in an active construction environment. Preferred Qualifications Previous electrical QA/QC experience. Previous commissioning support experience or familiarity with commissioning processes. Mission-critical/Data center construction experience. Familiarity with turnover packages and closeout documentation. Understanding of QA/QC plans, inspection workflows and inspection and test plans.
