Full Job Description Key Responsibilities:
Perform receiving, in-process, and final inspections of sheet metal stampings and assemblies. Conduct material, component, and dimensional testing throughout the manufacturing process. Perform and evaluate SPC and process capability studies. Complete Gauge R&R studies and maintain gauge records. Audit and evaluate check fixtures and assembly fixtures for accuracy and proper function. Prepare dimensional reports, identify quality concerns, and assist with corrective actions. Develop gauging methods and inspection instructions. Support PPAP submissions and other customer quality requirements. Conduct process and quality audits on the manufacturing floor. Assist with problem-solving, corrective/preventive actions, and continuous improvement activities. Train production employees on proper use of gauges and check fixtures.
Qualifications:
Previous experience in manufacturing quality, process control, or a related technical role. Experience with measurement, inspection, and test equipment. Working knowledge of SPC, Gauge R&R, capability studies, and dimensional inspection. Automotive, metal stamping, or sheet metal experience strongly preferred. Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills. Ability to read and analyze dimensional and quality data. Strong communication and organizational skills.
