Job Description

The Quality Technician supports the Quality Assurance department in maintaining Montana Global Health's compliance with current Good Manufacturing Practices (21 CFR Part 111), NSF certification requirements, and FDA registration obligations. This hands-on role performs in-process inspections, sampling, testing support, and documentation review across our capsule, powder, stick pack, sachet, liquid, and packaging operations. The Quality Technician is a daily presence on the production floor, ensuring that every product we manufacture meets identity, purity, strength, and composition specifications before it reaches our clients. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Perform line clearances and verify production areas, equipment, and packaging lines are clean, labeled, and released prior to start-up. Conduct in-process checks during manufacturing and packaging, including weight verification, capsule integrity, fill counts, seal integrity, and label accuracy. Collect raw material, in-process, and finished product samples per sampling plans; prepare and log retention samples. Verify labels, lot codes, and expiration dating against approved specifications and batch records. Review batch production records for completeness and accuracy; identify and document discrepancies. Perform environmental monitoring and support routine facility and equipment inspections. Support calibration checks of scales, balances, and measurement devices; document results. Quarantine, tag, and segregate non-conforming materials; initiate deviation and non-conformance documentation. Maintain accurate, contemporaneous records in accordance with cGMP documentation practices and 21 CFR Part 11 requirements for electronic records. Assist with material receiving inspections, including verification of certificates of analysis and supplier documentation. Support internal audits, client audits, and regulatory inspections as directed by the Quality Manager. Follow all SOPs, safety requirements, and food safety practices; recommend improvements where identified. Qualifications - Required High school diploma or equivalent. 1+ year of experience in quality, production, laboratory, or manufacturing (dietary supplement, food, or pharmaceutical environment preferred), or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Strong attention to detail and commitment to accurate documentation. Basic math skills, including weights, measures, and unit conversions. Ability to read and follow SOPs, batch records, and specifications in English. Proficiency with basic computer applications (email, spreadsheets, electronic records). Reliable, self-directed, and comfortable working both independently and with production teams.
Pay:
$20.00 - $24.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
