A Quality Inspector inspects and evaluates products according to company quality control standards. Inspects goods or packaging in a production or manufacturing facility.
Temporary We are seeking a Quality Inspector I to join a manufacturing environment. This position is responsible for inspecting materials and finished products to ensure they meet customer specifications and established quality standards.
Job Duties:
Perform first article, in-process, and finished product inspections. Inspect products to ensure they meet order specifications and quality requirements. Identify, tag, and isolate non-conforming parts. Complete non-conformance reports and maintain accurate quality documentation. Perform process validation measurements, including gage R&R and capability studies. Record test data and evaluate results for deviations from specifications. Use measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, depth gauges, indicators, and Go/No-Go gauges. Review raw materials and product specifications for accuracy. Assist with work instructions and other quality-control processes as needed. Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED required; technical certificate preferred. 1+ year of quality inspection experience in a mid-to-heavy manufacturing environment preferred. General knowledge of measuring tools, including calipers, micrometers, depth gauges, and indicators. Ability to perform basic math and accurately record measurements. Ability to read blueprints preferred. Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel. Ability to work independently and prioritize assignments. Strong attention to detail and quality. Ability to communicate clearly in English, both verbally and in writing. Must be able to wear required PPE, including eye protection, hearing protection, and non-slip shoes.
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. Must be able to frequently lift and/or carry up to 25 lbs. Position may require standing, walking, bending, twisting, squatting, reaching, and repetitive movements.
