Quality Control Inspector (Ready To Ship - RTS)FLSA Status:
Non-exempt Summary:
Inspect parts, products, and/or processes to ensure conformance with standards. Inspects materials or products using fixed or variable measuring instruments. Checks for irregularities and defects. Compares product with parts list to ensure completion of assembly. Verifies specified dimensions on product or material by performing the following duties. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Inspect each home when notified it is "Ready and Complete" by Final Finish Supervisor. "Ready and Complete" means that all work and final cleaning has been done. Utilize check sheet and inspect each room and exterior for obvious cosmetic defects. Ensure that the unit meets cleanliness standards for shipping. Follow up on repairs- they will be continuous. RTS person will personally inspect each item written up on the check sheet to verify that a quality repair has been made and that no other damage happens during the repair process and/or any additional clean-up is necessary Verify all ship loose material is loaded per ship loose check sheet. Coordinates with engineering, sales and manufacturing personnel to effectively resolve problems related to product design, materials, specifications and/or manufacturing operations. Ensures all quality control policies, procedures, directives and systems are in compliance with company and/or applicable federal regulations, continually strives to increase the level of quality assurance within the facility. Ensures all safety policies and procedures are followed in accordance with guidelines established by the Company in accordance with OSHA regulations.
