Job Description
Kellex Seating is seeking a detail oriented and experienced Upholstery Furniture Quality Control Inspector to ensure our products meet the highest standards of craftmanship, integrity, and aesthetic appeal. This role involves inspecting furniture produced both in-house and by external vendors, maintaining consistent quality across all production channels.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 1.
Conduct detailed inspections of upholstered furniture at various stages of production. 2. Verify compliance with company specifications, industry standards, and customer requirements. 3. Evaluate materials, stitching, cushioning, frame specification, and finishing details 4. Document and reports defects, inconsistencies, and noncompliance. 5. Collaborate with production teams to resolve quality issues and implement corrective actions. 6. Perform audits at external vendor facilities to ensure adherence to quality protocols. 7. Maintain accurate inspection records and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.QUALIFICATIONS
3+ years of experience in furniture QC, upholstery inspection, or related field. Strong knowledge of upholstery techniques, materials, and construction. Familiarity with quality control tools and documentation practices. Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.MUST HAVE INSPECTION EXPERIENCE IN THE FURNITURE INDUSTRY.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE
High School diploma or general education degree (GED); or at least three years related experience. Experience is a must and applicants without experience will not be considered.LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
