Index Packaging is a growing manufacturing company with four New Hampshire facilities and more than 200 employees dedicated to delivering custom packaging solutions across a wide range of industries. We are looking for a detail-oriented Quality Control & Compliance Technician to join our Quality Department. This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys solving problems, working with production teams, interpreting engineering documentation, and helping ensure our products and processes meet quality and compliance requirements.
What You'll Do:
As a Quality Control & Compliance Technician, you'll work closely with our Quality, Engineering, and Production teams to identify quality issues, determine root causes, document findings, and help prevent recurring problems.
Daily responsibilities include:
Measure and inspect manufactured products using a variety of measuring tools to verify they are within required tolerances. Investigate out-of-tolerance conditions and help identify root causes and corrective actions. Read and interpret engineering prints, drawings, specifications, and other technical documentation. Document customer complaints, inspection results, defects, and corrective actions accurately. Record required quality and compliance metrics and prepare customer and regulatory compliance reports. Help ensure company quality policies, procedures, and work instructions are consistently followed. Partner with Engineering and Production teams to improve manufacturing and operating processes. Help educate production employees on print interpretation, work instructions, quality requirements, and proper processes. Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and cross-functional working groups.
What We're Looking For:
Associate's degree in a technical field preferred. At least 2 years of manufacturing experience. Demonstrated ability to read and interpret engineering prints. Experience using measuring and inspection tools. Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications. Experience working with MRP/ERP systems. Familiarity with CAD software preferred. Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills. Strong attention to detail and documentation accuracy. Ability to communicate effectively and work collaboratively with Production, Engineering, and Quality teams. Ability to travel occasionally between our four New Hampshire locations as business needs require. Why Join Index Packaging? Stable, growing New Hampshire manufacturing company.
