Weekend Shift - Friday, Saturday & Sunday, 6:00 AM-6:00 PM We are seeking a detail-oriented Bench Operator / Inspector to join a manufacturing team in Exeter, NH. This role involves working with aluminum and copper parts, using precision measurement tools, reading blueprints, and making hands-on mechanical adjustments to meet tight tolerances. The ideal candidate has strong mechanical aptitude, experience with precision measurement tools, and a background in manufacturing, inspection, or metalworking. Responsibilities Use height gauges, calipers, hammers, and precision fixtures to adjust aluminum and copper parts to blueprint-defined tolerances. Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and GD&T requirements. Perform controlled mechanical adjustments to achieve precise fit, alignment, and form. Inspect parts for dimensional accuracy, visual quality, and compliance with specifications. Handle and secure parts using approved tools and methods to prevent damage. Document measurements, adjustments, and inspection results according to quality procedures. Maintain an organized workstation and properly care for tools and gauges. Follow all safety, quality, and environmental requirements. Communicate with quality, engineering, and production teams to resolve issues and support workflow. Qualifications Minimum of 3 years of relevant manufacturing, inspection, or mechanical experience. Experience using precision measurement tools, such as height gauges, calipers, and mechanical fixtures. Ability to read and interpret engineering blueprints, drawings, and GD&T requirements. Strong mechanical aptitude with hands-on experience manipulating metal parts to tight tolerances. Experience working with aluminum and copper is preferred. Ability to perform visual and dimensional inspections. Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and consistency. Comfortable documenting measurements and work performed. Understanding of shop safety practices and proper tool handling. Ability to work independently and collaborate with production, quality, and engineering teams.
