Job Description

Quality Inspection Technician role responsible for performing advanced part and feature-level inspections, documenting results, and supporting acceptance/rejection and MRB dispositions using precision metrology and test equipment. Job Requirements Metrology experience using precision inspection tools and related test equipment Ability to read and interpret GD&T specifications, including: Flatness, eccentricity, concentricity, cylindricity, straightness Perpendicularity, parallelism, runout, angularity, surface profile Inspect parts using prints and 3D models; perform complex data analysis and reporting for disposition decisions Operate inspection and measurement systems as applicable: CMM, Laser Tracker, Vision Measurement System, Spectrophotometer, Profilometer Use hand-held inspection tools as applicable: Calipers, thread gages, micrometers, height gages, pin gages Familiarity with electrical test instruments as applicable: Digital multimeters, inductance meters, Hi-Pot testers Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and industry software (Agile, SAP) High school diploma with 2+ years of experience related to electro-mechanical technologies (preferred) Technical high school diploma or technology-related certification (preferred) Physical Requirements Regularly lift and carry up to 40 lbs Prolonged sitting and extensive computer/keyboarding Extended periods of standing, bending, and walking Communicate clearly via phone (talking/listening/speaking) Maintain regular and punctual attendance consistent with applicable standards Preferred Skills Experience supporting MRB processes and cross-functional disposition decisions Experience qualifying/calibrating inspection tools and maintaining inspection equipment readiness Experience evaluating returned product and supporting design/quality engineering investigations Job Responsibilities Document inspection results; disposition material for acceptance or rejection Perform feature-level inspection on complex parts and components Retrieve prints, schematics, and models from Agile for inspection planning and execution Accept conforming material in SAP; create SAP notifications for discrepant material Support MRB activities by interfacing with purchasing, engineering, and suppliers as required Operate precision inspection tools and measurement systems to verify dimensional, functional, and cosmetic requirements Perform sorting, tagging, and labeling of parts as needed to support material control and traceability Perform qualification checks of inspection tools as required Maintain a clean and orderly workstation and adjacent areas Follow quality system and safety requirements during all inspection and handling activities
