Job Description

Based on experience Job description: Hicks Machine is now part of Excelus Holdings, an AS9100 andISO 9001
certified, ITAR registered precision manufacturing platform supporting Aerospace, Defense, Semiconductor, Medical, and Industrial customers. Under new ownership, Excelus Holdings is investing in the long-term growth of Hicks Machine, including advanced equipment, expanded machining capabilities, stronger production systems, and continued development of our quality organization. As our customer base, capabilities, and program requirements continue to grow, we are interested in connecting with experienced Quality Inspectors and Quality Technicians who understand precision manufacturing and the importance of maintaining strong quality standards in demanding industries. This position will support inspection, documentation, compliance, and collaboration between Quality, Manufacturing, and Engineering.Responsibilities may include:
Perform in-process and final inspection of precision machined components Read and interpret complex blueprints, engineering drawings, and specifications Apply GD&T and verify tight-tolerance requirements Use micrometers, calipers, height gauges, indicators, optical equipment, and other precision measuring tools Perform or support CMM inspection and measurement activities when applicable Complete and maintain inspection documentation and quality records Support first article inspections and AS9102 documentation when required Identify and document nonconforming material or dimensional issues Work with machinists, engineering, and management to resolve quality concerns Assist with root cause analysis and corrective actions Support compliance withAS9100, ISO
9001, customer-specific requirements, and internal quality procedures Help identify opportunities to improve inspection processes, documentation, and overall quality performance Ideal candidates will have: Experience in quality inspection within a precision machining or manufacturing environment Strong blueprint reading and GD&T knowledge Experience inspecting tight-tolerance machined components Proficiency with precision measuring equipment CMM experience strongly preferred Familiarity with first article inspection and AS9102 requirements preferred Experience working within an AS9100 orISO 9001
quality system is a plus Experience supporting aerospace, defense, semiconductor, medical, or other highly regulated industries preferred Strong attention to detail, documentation, accuracy, and traceability The ability to communicate effectively and work collaboratively with manufacturing and engineering teams A practical, problem-solving approach to quality and continuous improvement We are interested in experienced quality professionals who want to be part of a manufacturing organization that is growing, investing, and strengthening its capabilities for the long term.
