Job Description

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Enforce and follow all Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs); ensure production employees comply at all times. Conduct routine inspections of production lines to verify adherence to food safety and quality standards. Performs product testing per specification, including but not limited to:
  • Moisture analysis
  • pH measurement
  • Vacuum/leak detection
  • Gas composition (O₂/CO₂) testing
  • Weight checks
  • Label/code accuracy and product integrity Inspects incoming raw materials and outgoing finished goods to ensure compliance with product specifications.
Work collaboratively with fellow QC Technicians to ensure all retains are properly sampled and documented. Monitors and verifies all Critical Control Points (CCPs) and reports any deviations to the Quality Manager immediately. Understands and supports the facility's Allergen Control Program.. Performs routine calibrations of lab instruments and plant scales. Prepares and sends product samples to third-party laboratories for microbiological testing. Maintain a clean and organized work environment in accordance with food safety requirements. Accurately completes and maintains QC documentation, test records, and controlled forms. Utilizes Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint for data entry, reporting, and documentation purposes. Assist the Quality Manager and team with special projects and quality improvement initiatives. Performs other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications :
Associate degree or coursework in food science or a related field preferred. Prior experience in food manufacturing or quality assurance is a plus. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Ability to work independently and in a team environment. Knowledge of HACCP, GMPs, and general food safety practices. Effective verbal and written communication skills. Must be flexible to work various shifts, including weekends if required.
