Come discover new challenges with an industry leader! We are a 24/7 operation. Candidates must be able to work a 12 hour rotating shift from 7am to 7pm, including every other weekend. The benefit of this schedule is less work days per year and some weekdays off. The QA Technician performs and documents start-up and in-process quality testing for decoration, OTS, side seam, and extrusion production lines. Identifies and documents nonconforming material. Manages rework and capping activities as required. Describe the major elements of the position in order of importance: 1. Performs and documents start-up and in-process quality checks along with sampling the work order as per established AQL guidelines. 2. Gathers, identifies, and maintains retention samples for every work order. 3. Gathers, inspects, and sends out required standards to customers. 4. Documents necessary information on customer COCs and ensures that all quality checks are within the required specification. 5. Provides the work order information to the manufacturing floor along with any required specifications, standards, and/or quality alerts. 6. Closes out the work orders by signing off on any quality checks and identifying to manufacturing management about required missing information. 7. Communicates with the manufacturing staff to determine the status of a production work order and if any follow-ups are required with the manufacturing operator and/or management. 8. Manages, trains, and direct staffs in rework activities for sorting and/or capping. Performs required AQL sampling based on established AQL guidelines 9. Identifies nonconforming materials as per customer and internal specification requirements. Documents the nonconformance in the TubeDec CCN program and emails the required individuals. Segregates nonconforming material physically (red stickers) and electronically so this material is not shipped to the customer. Provides the required information to management so a final disposition can be made. 10. Electronically removes nonconforming material from hold when directed by management. 11. Inspects incoming materials (caps and shoulders) as compared to the COC and established standards. Notifies management of discrepancies and follows containment process. 12. Ensures that COCs are provided for incoming materials and maintains them electronically and physically. 13. Maintains the received approved standards from the customers. 14. Trains manufacturing and/or quality personnel on quality requirements or testing as directed by management. 15. Performs additional duties as assigned. Job Qualifications (education, certification, experience, knowledge, skills, physical requirements) 1. High school degree required. 2. One year experience in a manufacturing (quality related), pharmaceutical, or quality position preferred. 3. Knowledge of working with calipers and other measuring devices preferred. 4. Must be able to follow established company GMPs, hygiene, and safety policies. 5. Must be able to work extensive hours including nights, weekends, and holidays as per assigned schedule, 6. Must be proficient in data entry, Microsoft Outlook, and Excel. 7. Must exhibit attention to detail, critical thinking, and effective communication skills.
