Position Summary We are seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Quality Assurance Specialist to join our team. The Quality Assurance Specialist will be responsible for reviewing service documentation, progress reports, timesheets, billing records, and electronic records to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with agency requirements and applicable New Jersey CSOC and DDD guidelines. This position is well suited for an individual with experience in quality assurance, compliance, healthcare, human services, billing, data entry, or administrative record review . Experience with
NJ CSOC/DDD
programs is preferred but not required. We are willing to train the right candidate who demonstrates strong attention to detail, reliability, organization, and the ability to learn. Retired professionals with relevant administrative, healthcare, human services, auditing, or billing experience are encouraged to apply. Key Responsibilities Review client and service documentation for accuracy, completeness, and compliance. Review progress reports and service notes entered into the CYBER system for accuracy and consistency. Verify that documented services correspond with authorized services, including dates, times, units, and hours. Review employee timesheets for accuracy, completeness, and consistency with service documentation. Review billing records for accuracy and identify potential billing discrepancies before submission. Compare authorizations, timesheets, progress reports, service notes, and billing records to identify inconsistencies. Identify missing, incomplete, duplicate, or inaccurate documentation and communicate required corrections to appropriate staff. Conduct routine quality assurance reviews and internal audits of client/service records. Verify required forms, signatures, dates, and supporting documentation are properly maintained. Maintain QA tracking logs and document identified errors and corrective actions. Follow up with staff to ensure identified errors are corrected in a timely manner. Assist management with preparing records for audits, monitoring visits, and compliance reviews. Identify recurring documentation and billing issues and bring them to management's attention. Assist with quality improvement initiatives, corrective action plans, and staff education when needed. Maintain confidentiality of client, employee, and agency information. Follow agency policies, procedures, and applicable
CSOC/DDD
requirements. Perform other quality assurance and administrative duties as assigned. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Human Services, Social Services, Healthcare Administration, Accounting, or a related field preferred. Previous experience in Quality Assurance, compliance, auditing, healthcare, human services, billing, or administrative record review preferred. Experience with data entry and electronic documentation systems . Experience with NJ CSOC and/or DDD programs is highly preferred but not required. Strong attention to detail and ability to identify discrepancies and errors. Excellent organizational and time-management skills. Ability to review and analyze detailed records accurately. Basic understanding of billing, timesheets, service hours, and authorizations. Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Word and Excel . Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information appropriately. Ability to work independently and meet established deadlines. Dependable, organized, professional, and willing to learn. Training Experience is preferred, but we are willing to train the right candidate. Candidates who have strong administrative, data entry, documentation, auditing, or record-review skills and are interested in learning the
