Description:

The QC Technician's role is to perform a variety of technical inspections. Their duties include measuring objects compared to their intended physical specifications and identifying defects.

Primary Responsibilities:

Reading blueprints/technical drawings and & welding symbols Analyzes data and writes summaries to validate or show deviations from existing standards. Recommend modifications to existing, or suggest new standards, methods and procedures. Inspection of the materials produced or purchased. Using tools such as micrometers and other calibrated tools to measure products. Removing products that do not meet specifications. Acceptance or rejection of finished products. Performs inspections to assess product quality. Scans/Uploads documents accordingly. Other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications:

Working knowledge of calibrated test tools and equipment. Ability to read rulers on 1/8th, 1/16th, 1/32nd, and 1/64th scales. Proficiency with metric and standard measurement tools. Ability to use micrometers, verniers, and calipers. Strong record-keeping and computer skills. Detail-oriented. Strong problem-solving and analytical skills. 2-3 years of relevant experience required.

Preferred:

International/Domestic travel availability.

Occasionally work in spaces with noise up to 100 dB (with company-provided ear protection). Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and the ability to adjust focus. May be exposed to dust or other irritants and electrical/mechanical/power equipment/heat hazards. Possible travel, working around others, and with others. Physical duties are subject to change.
