In Person Job Summary OEM Source Inc. is hiring a Mobile Device Testing & Grading Technician to join our electronics processing team. This is a fast-paced, hands-on position focused primarily on testing smartphones and other consumer electronics using specialized testing software . Employees will also inspect devices, enter testing results and device information into our computer systems, and accurately categorize equipment based on its condition. Previous phone-testing experience is not required. We will provide training. We are looking for someone who is comfortable using computers, can learn new software quickly, works efficiently, and pays close attention to detail. Responsibilities Test smartphones and other consumer electronic devices Use specialized software and diagnostic tools to test devices Follow established testing procedures for each device Check screens, touch functionality, cameras, microphones, speakers, charging ports, buttons, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and other functions Identify damaged, defective, or non-working devices Inspect devices for cosmetic condition Grade and categorize devices based on company standards Enter testing results and device information accurately into the company system Verify information such as model, IMEI/serial number, storage capacity, carrier, and condition Scan, label, and organize devices Factory reset and prepare devices for the next stage of processing Maintain accurate records Work quickly while maintaining accuracy Meet daily productivity expectations Keep the work area clean and organized Perform other electronics testing and processing duties as needed Requirements Must be comfortable using computers Must be able to learn and operate multiple software programs Must be able to accurately enter data into computer systems Must be able to speak and understand English Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment Good typing and basic computer skills Strong attention to detail Ability to follow instructions and established procedures Ability to perform repetitive tasks accurately Reliable and punctual Ability to work independently and as part of a team Willingness to learn Experience No previous phone-testing experience is required. Training will be provided. Experience with any of the following is a plus, but not required: Smartphones or consumer electronics Apple iPhone or Android devices Electronics testing Device refurbishment Cell phone repair Warehouse electronics processing ITAD or electronics recycling Data entry Inventory systems Ideal Candidate The ideal candidate is someone who is: Fast and efficient Comfortable working on a computer throughout the day Able to learn new software quickly Detail-oriented Accurate with data entry Comfortable handling a high volume of devices Able to follow the same testing process consistently Dependable and ready to work This position requires a balance of speed and accuracy .
