About Clover II Corporation Clover II Corporation is a fine jewelry wholesaler with 38 years in business. We are growing and looking for skilled professionals to join our team as we move into an exciting new chapter. The Role We are hiring a Fine Jewelry Inspector to check the quality of finished jewelry we receive from our factories. You will make sure every piece meets our standards before it goes into inventory or reaches our customers. You will also help us create and write the quality control standards we use. You will report to the Head of Production and work on-site in Midtown Manhattan. What You Will Do Inspect finished fine jewelry when it arrives from our factories, checking each batch against the purchase order Check for quality issues in gold purity, stone setting, surface finish, and whether the piece functions and wears correctly Write clear reports on any defects or problems you find Help create and document our quality control standards and inspection procedures Use your contacts in the New York diamond district to arrange repairs when needed Record inspection results, purchase order status, and quality outcomes in our ERP system Work with our sourcing and operations teams to report recurring quality problems from specific vendors Keep organized records for compliance and vendor accountability What We Are Looking For Graduate gemological degree from the Gemological Institute of America (GIA) or an equivalent institution, with a focus on diamonds 3 to 5 years of experience in fine jewelry quality control, production, or inspection Strong knowledge of gold jewelry evaluation: karat verification, construction, and finish Strong knowledge of diamond evaluation: cut, clarity, setting integrity, and grading Established contacts in the New York diamond district for repair referrals Comfortable using computers and ERP systems in daily work; experience with Microsoft Dynamics Business Central is a strong plus Ability to write clear, detailed quality control reports in English High attention to detail with the ability to work accurately through batch inspections Compensation $75,000 per year plus healthcare and company benefits.
