Job Description

Quality Control Inspector Pay:
$18-24/hr
Schedule:
Monday-Friday, 7am-3:30pm A well-established manufacturing company is seeking a detail-oriented Quality Control Inspector to join its team. This position is ideal for someone with experience inspecting machined parts, reading blueprints, and ensuring products meet strict quality standards before moving through production or shipping. Responsibilities Perform dimensional and visual inspections on machined components throughout the manufacturing process. Complete first article inspections before production begins. Verify that finished products meet blueprint specifications, tolerances, and customer requirements. Review work orders, drawings, revisions, and inspection documentation for accuracy. Identify nonconforming parts and communicate quality concerns promptly to production personnel. Assist in preventing recurring quality issues by working with production teams on corrective actions. Ensure all inspection records are accurate, organized, and traceable. Use precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, height gauges, and bore gauges. Verify that inspection equipment is properly maintained and calibrated. Qualifications Previous experience in quality inspection within a machining or manufacturing environment. Ability to read and interpret mechanical blueprints and engineering drawings. Working knowledge of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing). Experience using precision measuring equipment. Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work. Excellent communication and problem-solving skills. Comfortable stopping production when quality standards are not met. Preferred Qualifications Experience operating or programming Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM). Three or more years of machining or quality inspection experience in a custom or job shop environment.
