QUALITY ASSURANCE TECHNICIAN
Reports to: Quality Manager Overview Quality assurance professional to support shop ERP document control and part inspections. The candidate in this role will be trained on day-to-day shop document control processes using the tools of an industrial ERP system (Globalshop) and will be responsible for ensuring certs from material/finishing POs are mapped properly throughout multi-stage subcomponent manufacturing processes. The candidate will additionally be responsible for performing documented part inspections. This involves the interpretation of mechanical prints (GD&T) for parts ranging widely in size and manufacturing process, and standard shop metrology equipment will be used (caliper/micrometer, height gauge, 2-D comparator, pin/thread gages, CMM). Responsibilities- Link material and finishing certificates through an ERP system from raw material receipt through completed builds of complex mechanical product.
- Compile cert packages to facilitate customer shipments.
- Review customer prints and generate quality inspection plans.
- Measure first-article parts, in-process, and final-stage product.
- Investigate the root cause of non-conforming/defective products.
- Receiving inspection activities as needed.
- Any and all duties as assigned by the immediate supervisor that are required to satisfy customer requirements. Qualifications
- 3+ years in manufacturing quality, or 5+ years in direct manufacturing role(s)
- Ability to sit, stand, or walk for long periods and lift UP to 30 lbs.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Competent mechanical blueprint reading and GD&T application.
- Ability to develop, analyze, articulate, and present technical information in both written and verbal forms. Compensation & Benefits
- Hourly position
- $20.00
- $25.00 per hour / 40 hours per week
- 40 Hours of PTO year 1, 80 hours of PTO year 2
