Education Requirements High school diploma or GED required. Experience Requirements and Job Duties Experience inspecting manufactured products using established quality standards and specifications. Ability to read blueprints, engineering drawings, work instructions, or inspection documents. Knowledge of precision measuring instruments including calipers, micrometers, gauges, and measuring devices. Strong attention to detail with the ability to identify defects and document inspection results accurately. Commitment to quality, safety, and continuous improvement. Experience using gauges, calipers, micrometers, and precision measuring tools Basic ability to read and understand blueprints Ability to inspect parts and identify measurements that are out of tolerance Previous manufacturing, machining, or quality inspection experience preferred Willingness to learn and develop additional inspection skills, including CMMs Preferred Qualifications Previous quality inspection, quality assurance, manufacturing, or production experience is preferred. Technical training in manufacturing, quality assurance, or inspection procedures is beneficial. Experience performing first article, in-process, or final product inspections is beneficial. Knowledge of ISO standards, statistical process control, quality documentation, or corrective action procedures is considered an asset. Experience programming and setting up CMMs Strong ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings Proficiency with calipers, micrometers, gauges, and other precision measuring equipment Experience performing dimensional inspections Ability to verify parts meet required specifications and tight tolerances Strong understanding of quality standards within a manufacturing, machining, or precision parts environment Excellent attention to detail and ability to identify quality issues Physical Capabilities Ability to stand, walk, bend, and perform inspection activities throughout the shift. Ability to lift products or materials weighing up to 50 pounds when required. Ability to use precision measuring instruments and inspection equipment with accuracy. Ability to maintain visual focus and attention to detail while inspecting products in manufacturing or warehouse environments.
