Job Description

CMM Programmer Grove City, OH Must-Haves 3+ years of hands-on ZEISS Calypso programming experience Strong experience programming and operating CMM equipment in a manufacturing environment Solid understanding of GD&T and dimensional metrology principles Ability to read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and CAD models Experience analyzing inspection data and solving dimensional or process-related issues Strong communication skills with the ability to work cross-functionally Detail-oriented with the ability to manage priorities in a fast-paced environment Overview We are seeking a skilled CMM Programmer to join a growing precision manufacturing team focused on quality, accuracy, and continuous improvement. This role is responsible for developing and optimizing CMM programs, supporting inspection activities, and partnering closely with Quality and Manufacturing teams to ensure parts are produced right the first time. Key Responsibilities Develop, optimize, and maintain CMM programs using ZEISS Calypso software Program and support inspections on ZEISS Contura CMM equipment with multiple probe configurations Prove out programs, validate results, and ensure accuracy and repeatability Create inspection plans and ballooned drawings for dimensional verification Interpret blueprints, CAD models, tolerances, and GD&T callouts to build effective inspection routines Analyze CMM reports and inspection data to identify trends and recommend corrective actions Support First Article Inspections (FAI), PPAP, capability studies, and validation activities Troubleshoot dimensional nonconformances and collaborate with Engineering, Machining, and Quality teams Verify fixture setups, alignment strategies, and probing methods for complex components Improve inspection efficiency while maintaining measurement integrity Maintain program documentation, revisions, and inspection records Provide technical guidance to inspectors and production teams on measurement and print interpretation Recommend process improvements to enhance quality, throughput, and manufacturability Preferred Qualifications Experience with advanced inspection concepts (profile tolerances, true position, MMC/LMC, complex geometries) Familiarity with machining processes, including 4-axis and 5-axis milling Experience supporting FAI, PPAP, SPC, or capability studies What You Bring Strong technical expertise in CMM programming and inspection processes Problem-solving mindset with a focus on root cause analysis and continuous improvement Ability to work collaboratively across departments in a fast-paced environment This is an excellent opportunity to join a high-performing manufacturing team where precision, quality, and innovation are at the core of operations.
