Carnivore Snax is a fast growing Ohio based food manufacturer producing premium, two -ingredient meat snacks for customers throughout the United States. A Quality Control Technician is critical in supporting day-to-day QA functions, performing inspections, and maintaining documentation required for certification readiness and ongoing compliance This is a part- time position scheduled Friday through Monday from 4am-10am. Key Responsibilities Perform routine quality control checks on raw materials, in-process products, and finished goods to ensure compliance with company and regulatory standards. Monitor critical control points (CCPs) and support HACCP plan implementation and verification. Document and report quality deviations, non-conformances, and corrective actions. Support internal audits and assist with third-party audits, including those required for SQF and USDA certification. Maintain accurate and up-to-date records, logs, and reports for quality inspections, sanitation, and equipment checks. Assist in the development and continuous improvement of quality systems, procedures, and SOPs. Collaborate with production teams to ensure food safety protocols and GMPs are followed. Participate in employee training sessions related to food safety and quality. Monitor sanitation practices and conduct environmental swabbing as required. Assist in maintaining product traceability and recall procedures. Minimum 1 year of experience in a food manufacturing or meat production environment, preferred. Working knowledge of HACCP, GMP, USDA, and SQF requirements. Strong attention to detail and commitment to food safety and quality assurance. Ability to work independently and as part of a team Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook); experience with QA software systems is a plus. Able to lift up to 50 lbs and work in cold or humid environments as needed.
