What You'll Do :

Setup and operate Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMMs) and optical comparators to perform inspections on metallic parts. Conduct visual inspections using magnifiers, calipers, and micrometers to detect scratches, dents, gouges, burrs, and dimensional nonconformances. Read and interpret blueprints, routers and work instructions including GD&T callouts on machine prints. Generate inspection reports and FAI reports. Record and report any non-conformances in a clear, concise manner. Use precision measuring instruments to perform inspections. Review job records during inspections to verify compliance of manufactured parts with tolerances and specifications. What We're Looking For . 1-2+ years of quality control or inspection experience, ideally in a machining or manufacturing setting Fundamental mechanical and mathematical knowledge Basic understanding of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T) preferred. Basic understanding of drawing and specification interpretation preferred. Basic understanding of metrology tools and devices including but not limited to micrometers, calipers, height stands, dial indicators, thread ring and plug gages, bore gages, etc. preferred. Experience or the ability to learn basic Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM) operations. Basic Microsoft 365 computer skills required. Capable of performing inspection planning. Able to work as a team player with minimal supervision. A high degree of organization and communication skills.
