Mason, Ohio About the Position Our quality department is looking for a skilled Quality Technician to support our 2nd shift operations. Your primary focus will be ensuring that manufactured components align with engineering blueprints, technical specifications, and our internal quality benchmarks through rigorous testing and verification. We are seeking a technically proficient individual who can operate autonomously within a precision manufacturing setting. You should bring hands-on expertise in at least one of these core areas: Fluorescent Penetrant Inspection (FPI), Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM) operation, or airflow testing. Core Duties Evaluate finished components to ensure they meet all engineering blueprints, customer mandates, and quality benchmarks. Utilize specialized methods such as FPI, CMM, and airflow testing to conduct thorough product evaluations. Analyze technical specifications, GD&T, and complex engineering drawings to guide your inspection process. Utilize high-precision measurement tools to perform visual and dimensional assessments. Flag, log, and report any instances where products do not meet established standards. Ensure all quality records are maintained with precision and documented accurately. Collaborate with engineering and production teams to help resolve quality discrepancies and implement effective corrective measures. Execute inspections at various stages, including first-piece, in-process, and final checks. Confirm that all products satisfy dimensional and functional requirements to help maintain high standards for our final output. Support the team in conducting root-cause analysis to improve overall product quality. Ensure all inspection tools remain calibrated and are utilized according to standard operating procedures. Help maintain a safe working environment for the entire team by adhering to all procedural and safety protocols. Keep your workspace tidy and organized to promote a professional inspection environment. Required Skills and Experience Background in a manufacturing quality role, such as a Quality Inspector or Technician. Proven practical experience with at least one of the following: FPI, CMM, or airflow testing. Practical experience verifying that finished parts conform to required specifications. Proficiency in interpreting blueprints, engineering drawings, and GD&T. Experience operating various precision measurement and inspection devices. High level of precision to help ensure that even minor deviations from specifications are identified. Capability to record inspection data clearly and relay quality concerns to relevant stakeholders. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Ability to manage your own workflow and prioritize inspection tasks effectively. Desired Qualifications Background in aerospace, defense, or precision machining sectors. Exposure to a variety of inspection techniques, specifically CMM, FPI, and airflow testing. Knowledge of nonconformance workflows and quality management systems. Experience utilizing process-based or statistical quality tools. Proficiency with digital quality documentation and inspection software. Relevant certifications or technical training in a related field. Your Profile We are looking for a meticulous Quality Technician who takes pride in the accuracy of their inspections. You will be responsible for verifying that precision parts meet strict requirements using specialized testing methods. Success in this role depends on your ability to communicate effectively with engineers and machinists to maintain high production standards. This 2nd shift opportunity requires a solid foundation in quality processes and direct experience with FPI, CMM, or airflow testing.
